LIMONE SUL GARDA
Limone sul Garda is one of the best-known and most appreciated villages on Lake Garda, full of shops and restaurants that wind their way through the narrow alleys and stairways that animate the picturesque old town. Located on the western shore of Lake Garda, Limone is immersed in a rich Mediterranean habitat: the particularly mild climate that lasts all year makes it famous for the production of citrus fruits, grown since 1700 in the typical lemon houses, still in operation and open today to the public. At the same time, the country is also rich in culture, history, traditions, and typical products such as DOP olive oil and lake fish. The characteristic restaurants set in the picturesque alleys will welcome you to accompany you on a journey of unique taste.

WHAT TO DO
CYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN WAY OF GARDA
Inaugurated in 2018, the Garda cycle/pedestrian path starts from the historic center of Limone and can be covered both by bicycle and on foot. With a total of 4 kilometers of track, for over 2.5 kilometers the cycle path is suspended, clinging to the rock, on the waters of Lake Garda, offering a breathtaking view that is unique in the world.
The Fishermen's Museum collects objects, photos and various materials inherent to the traditional craft linked to the lake. Everything was generously gifted by family members of former fishermen, who actively contributed to its creation to remember an important part of the history of Limone sul Garda.
Located in the historic center of Limone, in a splendid position, the Limonaie are one of the oldest and most characteristic citrus gardens in Garda, where typology and architecture are well preserved. THE MALCESINE CABLE CAR
From the harbor of Limone sul Garda, crossing the lake on the ferry, to Malcesine: an enchanting village located on the Venetian side of the lake, on the opposite shore from Limone. From the historic center, through the panoramic cable car, in a few minutes you will reach the top of Monte Baldo, up to almost 1800 meters above sea level, from where you can admire Lake Garda in its totality: from the snow-capped peaks of the Alps, to the most close to the lake, up to the flat and sunny southern side.
The most typical and characteristic element is extra virgin olive oil, renowned for its lightness and delicacy, which matches both with local fish cuisine and with meat dishes and polenta from the farmers tradition. The citrus fruits of Garda are an important ingredient for the preparation of many typical products, including limoncino and the cream of the Riviera dei Limoni, but also for Citron Water or sweets. Excellent pairing with any dish is the excellent wine produced in the Garda wine areas: Nosiola, Merlot, Cabernet, and Vino Santo from the northern lands, Garda Classico Groppello della Valtenesi and the southern vineyards of Bardolino and Lugana. Several itineraries wind through the wine production areas, taking you on a journey to discover the flavors and aromas of the territory.
